This is because Apple Health combines step data from both your Apple Watch and the motion sensors on your iPhone to give you a more accurate step count and calorie.
To match exact data from Apple Watch:
Go to “Settings.”
And then “Privacy & Security”
And open “Motion & Fitness” and disable “Fitness Tracking.”

If you are on Android 13 or lower
Health Connect acts as a standard app, but it often hides its icon to keep your home screen clean.
• How to find it: Check the Google Play Store. If it says "Installed," but you don't see the icon, go to Settings > Apps > See all apps > Health Connect and tap "Open."
• If it’s not installed: Search for "Health Connect" in the Google Play Store and download it to start syncing with Fitness Snack Lock.
1. Verify Your Hardware (Motion Sensors)
For Fitness Snack Lock to track your steps, your Android phone must have a built-in hardware step counter or accelerometer. While 99% of modern phones have these, some budget or older models do not.
• How to check: Download a free "Sensor Box" app or "Google Fit" from the Play Store. If Google Fit cannot track your steps after a short walk, your device may lack the necessary motion sensors.

2. Enable "Physical Activity" Permissions
Even with the right hardware, Android requires you to explicitly grant the app permission to access sensor data.
• Go to Settings > Apps > Fitness Snack Lock.
• Tap Permissions.
• Select Physical Activity and ensure it is set to "Allow."
3. Disable Battery Optimization
Android's "Battery Saver" often kills background sensors to save power. This stops your steps from counting when the app is closed.
• Go to Settings > Apps > Fitness Snack Lock.
• Tap Battery.
• Select Unrestricted. This ensures the pedometer keeps running even while your phone is in your pocket.

4. Special Note for Chinese Phone Brands (Xiaomi, OPPO, Huawei)
These brands have very aggressive battery management. You may need to "Lock" the app to keep it alive:
• Open Fitness Snack Lock, then go to your Recent Apps screen.
• Press and hold the app window and tap the Lock icon.
• This prevents the system from clearing the pedometer process from your memory.

Quick Diagnostic Checklist:
• [ ] Is your phone in a battery-saving mode? (Turn it off)
• [ ] Have you walked at least 20 steps? (Sensors sometimes need a "buffer" to start)
• [ ] Is your OS updated? (Ensure you are on Android 10 or higher)
Chocolate rewards are not purely based on steps; they are calculated using a combination of your BMI (Body Mass Index) and your Physical Activity. To prioritize user health, the app locks or limits rewards based on your current health zone.
1. The Red Zone (High Health Risk)
• Status: No Rewards.
• Why: If your BMI is in the "Red" zone, our health safety protocol disables snack rewards entirely to focus on wellness and medical consultation.

2. The Orange Zone (Standard Rewards)
• Status: Base Rewards Enabled.
• Why: In the "Orange" zone, you can earn your standard chocolate rewards by meeting your daily activity goals. However, Bonus rewards are not available in this zone to ensure you don't over-exert yourself for extra snacks.

3. The Green Zone (Maintenance & Bonus)
• Status: Bonus Rewards Enabled.
• Why: In the "Green" zone (healthy range), the app shifts to a maintenance and challenge model. You earn Bonus rewards for exceeding your activity baselines, helping you stay active while enjoying treats.
